Community Involvement
At Greystones Restaurant, we believe that strong communities are built through compassion, connection, and a commitment to supporting one another. We are grateful to be part of such a vibrant and caring community and have made it a priority to give back whenever possible by supporting local charities, organizations, and initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.
Through fundraising events, community partnerships, direct donations, and special initiatives, we have been honoured to contribute to a wide range of causes throughout Orangeville and the surrounding area. We have proudly worked alongside local schools, healthcare organizations, community groups, and charitable foundations, recognizing that every contribution, large or small, helps to strengthen our community.
Since opening our doors in February 2021, we have raised and donated more than $12,000 to Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville, $15,000 to Georgetown Hospital, and $1000 to Bethell Hospice in Inglewood. In addition, we have contributed thousands of dollars to numerous local organizations, including Orangeville Theatre, Rotary Club of Orangeville Highlands, Family Transition Place, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dufferin & District, Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Animal Centre, the Choose 2 Be Resilient Annual Zach & Kaya Memorial Golf Tournament, The Links Social Tour, and many others.
Most recently, through a debit donation program held in December 2025, we were proud to donate an additional $905 to Family Transition Place, supporting their important work in providing safety, resources, and support to individuals and families experiencing abuse and violence.
In 2025, we also focused on an in-house fundraising initiative, donating $1 from every breakfast sandwich sold in our café to The Children’s Foundation’s student nutrition fundraising campaign in support of breakfast programs. Thanks to the generosity of our guests, we were able to donate $2,004 to this initiative, helping provide healthy meals to children through breakfast programs serving schools and agencies across Dufferin County, Wellington County, and Guelph. These programs play a vital role in ensuring students have access to nutritious food, helping them arrive at school ready to learn, develop healthy eating habits, and build strong social connections.
None of these achievements would have been possible without the continued support of our loyal guests, dedicated team members, and valued community partners. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that has supported us since day one, and we look forward to continuing to make a positive impact for many years to come.
